Help im baffled!!!

hello all, ive took what everyone told me about moding my modem, read all the stickys and guess what its confused me so much! please can someone help me or try explain 2 me, i have a ntl 250, but im clueless to the software i need to change macs & flash and i am running on vista thanks

if its a 250 read 250 tut it cant get easier than that, or stick haxoware on it again cant get any easier

connect your modem to the power make sure the cable feed is not in and please tell us if all the lights flash I.E

"READY" "SYNC" "SEND" "RECV"

as soon as you power it up and only the "SEND" light flash's then it has the ALEX update on which means you will need to use console unlocker and reflash the bootloader..

best thing to do is get your max232 set it up to the modem and have alook in Hyperterminal...

You'll need:

Hardware:

MAX232 interface + lead (you may also need a serial/usb adapter if you don't have a serial port)

Software:

haxorware firmware
PuTTy (or Hyperterminal)
Tftpd32 (or Pumpkin)
DHCPsniffer
TMAC

ok first thing what firmware you puttin on Infinite or Hax?

To flash the firmware onto the Ambit250 you must use a MAX232 interface.

Open your modem and inside next to you blue ethernet jack is a set of 5 pins.



Connect your max to this jack and start from the pin nearest the blue ethernet jack.

If that dont connect try it connecting your max lead from the other side so like there is 1 pin left facing the Blue ethernet jack..


Also make sure your max lead is connected to your serial lead.
Connect up the ethernet cable to the modem and your PC LAN card.

Make a new folder on your PC.
Copy the "250hack_dump_telnet.bin" into it.
Copy the file "tftpd32.exe"

Set your IP address to: 192.168.100.10
Set your GateWay to: 192.168.100.1
Once done click ok and then minimise network conections.


Now start hyperterminal and make a new connection.
Use the com port that your serial is connected to on your PC using these settings:
Bits per second: 115200
Data bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: None

Click ok...

Power the modem up.(without the cable feed in)

man he was told to read the tuts, as cant get easier i spend weeks research, when i learned b4 even postin as what says in rules!!!! not given it out to newbies on a plate........wonder why vm r fightin back then he dcan ask specific questions to what he needs to know!!! not m new what/how do i do it!!! come on guys, im with 666 all the way and by the original posters own admission saying hes read stickies, took on info etc, but still clueless to software etc---COME ON--he aint read Sh1T why waste forum space to regurgitate whats been said 100s times b4.......
