Default Does the Eurovox need a stronger signal than V*rgin's own box?

Over the last week my Eurovox keeps losing signal - even if I don't use a splitter. The V*rgin box works fine. My questions are:

1) Does the Eurovox need a stronger signal?
2) Are they deliberately dropping the signal strength?
3) Would a signal booster help?

Thanks

1: Not neccesarily but it works better with a good clean signal, The proper boxes are more forgiving due to their more advanced error correction. i.e you may have a dodgy connector somewhere and it isnt affecting the original due to this but causes signal drop out on the EV.

2: No the signal is maintained at optimal levels to work with their own equipment most problems are due to faults that are usually within customers property or a faulty distribution port.

3: A signal booster can usually help in certain low signal situations, but if your problem is being caused by excessive noise on the cable which the main causes of this comes from poor or loose connections or damaged cables then a booster will only amplify the noise resulting in even more problems.
