You do not need the cable coax connected when flashing.

Right am gonna try this now how do i connect the modem with hyperterminal or telnet??? answer to the above questions wud be good to cheers

hyperteminal is telnet. well your using hyperterminal as telnet

hyperterm will ask you about your phone number ect, just make it up. its not important. it will then ask how you would like to connect, choose WINSTOCK and enter the ip as 192.168.100.1 and default port of 23
