Hi guys can I go from infinate to Haxorware on a 250 modem ? And if so anyone point me the right way as to find out how to do it and whats needed.

If you download the latest version of haxorware from haxorware.com it has instructions on what to do.

UPDATE I set SolarWinds up and I take it thats working but now when I Telnet / Ht to the modem I log in then get loads of codes running down the screen andcant type anything in lol. Im stuck going to take a look at the site smspop gave see if that will help.

Let me just comfirm do I need to use two cables or just the eartnet cable ? as this could be why its going wrong.

Don't type, just copy the commands and right click on the screen

just Ethernet btw

Upgrading from previous shelled firmware (infinite) or Haxorware 1.0

Set your computers ip to 192.168.100.10
Set up a TFTP server with haxorware11rev30.bin in its root
Make sure the haxorware webgui isn't currently open
Connect to modem with hyperterminal or telnet to the IP 192.168.100.1
Enter your username and password
cd /ip
ipconfig 1 release
y
dload -i 1 -l -f 192.168.100.10 haxorware11rev30.bin
y
cd /
reset

Haxorware 1.1 should now boot

then go to http://192.168.100.1

Hay guys I did it LOL the first thing I did after it loaded was to change the user name and password now vm cant kill the modem can they ?.

hi toxic you need a max232 cable and a ethernet cable, max232 to flash the modem & ethernet to transfer the firmware & set the modem up after.
