Can i use my sub modem along side a hacked one

Guys could I use my VM modem along side my sub modem have the sub modem setup so its just the same as my vm modem. and then get 20mb ?

not if your using the same mac mate u need a mac from a different ubr

In basic terms a UBR is an area. Like your town could have 6 UBR's 1-6. If you were in UBR 1 you couldn't use a mac from that same UBR as it would kick you off so you would need a mac from another UBR preferably 2 or 3.

oh ok is there a way to know what ubr im in when doing check's as if I find my own first then I know what I would need to look out for.

That should show you your UBR. But if you use dhcp sniffer to scan for macs and click 'bruteforce' it should find macs outside your ubr anyway.

Yes it would work. Flashed modem would have to be set up as normal flash modems i.e macs etc.

What sort of rubbish is that?

A UBR is a Universal Broadband Router which is basically your gateway to the internet at the cable co's head end.

The machine runs a dhcp server and assigns IP's accordingly. If the UBR sees two identical MACs it will not like it, as MACs are supposed to be unique.

UBR's are not areas, but they provide network access to a specific area. So if you get a working MAC from one UBR and use it on another, the UBR will not kick it, as the MAC will be unique on that particular UBR.
