I had a old starview 1 Genuine Lurching around my room, and i plugged it in, and it wouldn't get past the boot image.
So i flashed the box, but accidently put "the box" firmware on, and now the box is totally dead.

I read on the internet that i could get the box back, by "Jtagging" it.

But i can't find a tutorial where to solder the point onto the PCB ..

This is a genuine box.

Any help would be appreciated ..

You do not need to Jtag it. Just reflash with the correct firmware, for a genuine Starview 1 that is CryptStar-v1.4-Core400.

You need to carry out a hard boot flash. Basically turn the box off from the back switch - hit download on Gtromloader V4.00 with Cryptstar selected as app- wait a few seconds and then turn power back on to box.

It may take a few attempts but it will work. You should see "flash burning" near the end of the process - then 100% - wait a few seconds and it will say OK.

That should be it.
