Question FTA: Is it REALLY this difficult?

Good evening everyone!
Could someone PLEASE help?
Have recently replaced my parents Sky digibox with an
ICECRYPT S1000C FTA receiver.
Didn't replace dish (Original sky minidish worked well and a dish is a dish?(Told you I need help!)) plugged in, switched on and got hundreds of FTA channels that don't seem to do anything!
Have approx 15 variations of BBC1 but cant find itv2 or Ch4!
Checked into setup on FTA box and found satelite Astra 1F 1H was default setting: Is this the correct satellite for the Hertfordshire area??
Also does anyone have a current list of FTA channels?
And is my ICECRYPT box any better or worse than others that are available? (It was good VFM!)
Pretty sure I connected all leads in correct places but couldn't really tell as the handbook wasn't printed in English as a first language!
And Lastly: Will the sky FTA viewing card work in the card reader?
I hereby apologise for long winded post and any obvious errors in terminology and any downright stupid question but its only simple if ya know the answers!!!!

MANY THANKS in advance for your help and PATIENCE!!!
Aching head Mick

Hi,

All the channels available with a Sky dish are here:-

Eurobird 1 & Astra 2A/2B/2D at 28.2°E - LyngSat

Only the FTA ones available with your receiver.

If you are missing channels, make sure that you have the correct tranponder listed, and then scan it. The channels should then appear.

Astra1 is the wrong satellite, you want Astra 2/Eurobird1
