promax prolink 3+

hi all i am a sat installer on the costa del sol and have just purchased a promax prolink 3+ can any one give me a step by step guide how to use this thing because its doing my head in should have stuck to my hdsm lol far easyer

I ve got the explorer and struggled at first but wouldnt swap it for the world now,what probs you having?

thanks for the input the thing im trying to do managed to sus out the specturum side and to view anolge chnls but maybe its me but not sure if your able to view digtal chnls while tuning granted this is the muts nuts when it comes to meters blows my hdsm out of the water but few its complicated

Obviously my explorer is different from yours so this may not apply but with mine i enter the menu select digital or analogue and then chosen satellite or dtt transmitter, once settings are done i then push quick sweep button(looks like sat dish) and peak the two bars on the right hand side(you can view spectrum at same time to view transponders/multiplexes).In spectrum mode you can enter specific frequency or use pre-set ones.

When i'm aligning anything i set explorer spectrum span to around 200mhz and ref level to around 50-60db(on left hand side) move antenna east and west/up and down you'll see 2 bars on right build up adjust till they peak. I can then use readings button to double check all parameters are good. Once you have a lock press tv button and she'll load up channels wether analogue or digital.

I too struggled at first from my horizon but would never go without spectrum of some sort
