Default pace 4000 rs232

hi i am a newbie.
I have an old pace 4000 box and would like to bring it to life.
Can I flash the pace 4000 box with rs232 cable ?
Where can i find the software for it ?
Do i need to do anything else ?

woow woow hold on there m8, these are not digi boxes where u flash them, these boxes u need a card, programmer and most importantly to read novice angel guide in order to do them

you wouldnt flash it, you'd first start to see if it will update to the new software.

presuming the box is from your area you would hook it up to the cable feed and see if it goes mad with numbers and the displays errase and prog. it should then boot and you will see vm menus.

if the box is not from your area, you need to read up on changing net id. (is this what you mean by flashing?)

once you have assertained that the box is working, you then need to make a card, for this you will need your bk and ird. again, you need to read up on this.
