hi i have an ambit 256 which has been modded and has now gone down it is running in the same area as an ambit 200 that has gone down i think it has something to do with the tftp ip but not 100% sure just wondering how i can firstly check which firmware is on the 256 and also how to change the tftp ip i suspect the 256 isnt running haxorware firmware as i was told it would automatically grab new settings if it was i didnt modify any of these modems they came to me already modded and have now gone down thanks in advance for all help offered

If you have a subbed modem connect that then get the tftp ip from that modem and put it onto your other modem.

Try a new MAC Address and/or Config File.

hi and thanks for your comments the thing is i dont know how to change the macs/configs or tftp ip on the 256 that is what i'm asking for help on i dont even know what firmware it has on it

hi just to update you all i connected the modem and went to page 192.168.100.1 and it connected to a virgin media modem status page showing it was online etc but it wont connect can anyone tell me how i change the tftp ip and mac address on an ambit 256 please help

Your modem hasn't been modded if you see the Virgin Media page. You can't alter the MAC/Config unless you have hacked firmware on your modem ie Haxorware.

here is a screenshot of what i get when i connect to 192.168.100.1 if this isnt a hacked modem is it a cloned 1? as i am lost with it ( i have bloocked out the mac address and serial on the screenshot)

Lol thats not been hacked mate.. you will need to either get your money back.. or get a 250/255 and clone 1 your self..

also you wont be able to do nothing in that page or even the root root.. bit..
