He's not on about changing hfc mac, just the ethernet, usb and serial, to match the hfc mac that you are using.

what do I change the ethernet and serial to?

how do I change the values to hex??

Mac addresses are already in hex.

Also, this was explained by myself in previous posts, within the 'any modems down, post here' thread.
