Can you program a Dragon CAM up using the PCMCIA slot on a laptop
I have a Matrix CAM and use it this way (or did) to put files on. So can the same be done with a Dragon CAM. At the moment I have a Dragon Cam ( P/N 8105/2003 Rev: 3.01) I have no CAS 3 or loader cards (a mate updates it for me). I`m using it to open up NagraVision on 0.8w and 1.0w. So will I have to invest in a CAS3 and a loader card to update the CAM? Thanks |

Don't know about the PCMCIA slot of a laptop.
The Dragon(T-Rex) CAM,can be programmed by any Smartmouse/Phoenix 6.00MHZ programmer, which are often way cheaper than the CAS3. You can also use a FUN card, which again is cheaper than the Dragon loader card. |

With the CAS3+ and dummy loader that usually comes with it, you don't need a loader card. I hav a T-Rex 4.1 and program it this way.
