Default Need a few answers (gonna buy a dodgybox)

Hi I'm a newby to this, sorry to be a pain.

I'm looking to buy one of these boxes, I've read up a little on them and just want a couple of simple answers.

Can I access on demand, catch up, BBC i Player without VMEDIA knowing (via talkback)?

Can my existing Virgin box & a Dodgy box both be linked up at same time? And if so what would I need for this?

Are the HD channels available on these boxes?

How often do they require updating?

and finally what is the best box?

Cheers

You cannot get on demand or iplayer because you need interactive for them, if im wrong, please someone correct me.

Yes,your vm box and non vm box can be connected at the same time, you will need a splitter and some coaxial cable to do it.

you can buy hd boxes, however,i do not know if that means you will get hd channels, someone will have to clarify this

and finally, with the latest firmware, you will only need to powerscan and then not update it, until vm crack it and a firmware fix is needed but who knows how long that will be.

No, talkback works on modded virgin boxes. Have talkback on and be arrested! Its easier, as a first timer to get a Eurovox, Starview or Digivox

Yes, via a coaxial cable and a splitter

Only on the Eurovox EX7000 HD. I dont think 1 HD channel is worth it for the price you pay

normally twice a year, before easter and before Christmas(or so Im told)

All personal choice really. For a newbie, I would recommend a Eurovox EX1000SL, Eurovox EX5100 PVR, Starview 3 or 4,Digivox XL,and Digivox XL USB, or the Arnet Kryptview
