Hi, i need help to reprogram a samsung 2110c box. It has a virgin media card already which has been programmed by someone else, who also wrote the ird number on the card, is there anyway i can obtain the box key by going into the engineer menu ect.. Or would i have to read the card (will a infinity usb prorammer work) and is the procedure to reprogram a vergin media card same as a funcard.
Thanks |

you will need to read your card with a programmer yes a infinity usb unlimited will work.use nagraedit 4.1 to read the card to get your box key.

thanks for that, i still have a problem. Here is what i have done, set programmer in phoenix mode, (with usb and serial plugged in), read the card with nagra 4.1 but it was asking for a bd0?? key, so i then read the card with xncs instead. This showed that the ird number was blank(but i already have this because it was written on the card) but it showed a box key. I then put this with the ird in a eeprom file ect.. and wrote it to a funcard 4. But this didnt seem to work the box just freezes when i put the funcard in. Am i doing somthing wrong?
Thanks |

Thanks for the help, problem is now solved.
this is what i did Read the mosc card using xncs, which got me the box key only I already had the ird Made a eeprom file for a funcard and also put in made up cam id's(without cam ids it was just crashing the box) It worked. funcard programming seems much easier than mosc. |

@ downloading Virus - Sorry to sound like a mod, but all the information is available on this and many other forums, I was able to figure out the majority of it, without asking a single question just by reading other peoples threads and learning that way, I would suggest finding the Novice Angel Cable guide and have a read of that. Then read up on anything you aren't familiar with, thats in there; then ask questions. I have spent a lot of time on a lot of forums and most frown upon asking for help, before you've tried helping yourself, and also frown upon hijacking others threads
just a heads up.Its all here my friend you just have to look my 2 cents ^Ac|d^ |
