ToD request disable cmds

Hi all,

Does any1 know how to disable ToD request (Time Of Day) with telnet cmds as its pi$$ing me off, when I'm trolling through telnet logs thanx...

I didn't know that you could disable it.

What effect will it have when/if you disable ToD request?

Hopefully it will stop sending time requests to the server when I connected to telnet as it adds about 10 lines of server requests to a telnet session Grrrrrrrrrrrr

Hey toolzkit, reckon you could go on to explain the ins and outs of this ToD request business? What exactly does it do, and how does it affect our modem's connections?

In some areas the ToD (time of day) don't work as the server is set wrong in the modem or the config files which download to the modem.

if you look at your modem logs on your 192 page you might find this:
1970-01-01 00:04:45ErrorD004.3ToD request sent- No Response received

if your using telnet or hyperterminal and the modem requests ToD it adds about 30 lines of crap telling you it cannot connect with the server to download the time

all this cmds does is tell your modem not to show ToD error messages so you can carry on with whatever your doing in telnet without displaying the error messages
