Hey Guys,
I have a really complicated system, i have Two dishs, one is fixed at 28.2 and one is a motorised 1.2 Mtr Gibo on a H-H Jaegar 1224 Motor. Both dishs have LNBS which split the signals into bands for use in a Disquec Splitter so both dish feeds are split 16 times and both sat feeds are sent down one cable. Yet, i have a motorised dish, which i would like to control with one of my Dreambox's (800 or 7020). The problem is, i cannot seem to get my VBOX2 (Motech One) to move the dish using Usuals on my 800 or simple settings on my 7020. Any Help Grately Appreciated Footylad. |

36V motors cannot be used with USALS, only with Diseqc1.2 via the VBox, nor will the VBox use USALS.

36volt motors have never used usals and never will, so you will have to control it by diseqc 1.2 with your dreambox+ vbox
to make it easier why don't you have a cheap receiver on 28e and just use the dreambox on the motorised dish ? |

I'm slightly confuddled as to what your trying to do. Yes a Dreambox can control a 36V motor or any Diseqc motor for that matter using diseqc 1.2, and a V-Box for the 36V motors. (USALS can be used for most Diseqc motors, if you can find an image that actually does USALS properly)

Well basically, i want to be able to control my 36V Motor via the Dreambox using Diseqc or Usuals to start with on a basic level, then once i get that working it would be good. Some advice would be apreciated as at the moment, i have been unable to get the motor to do anything and i cannot find any decent tutorials that will show me otherwise. Some guidance for me would be great: DM7020/800 any good images for Sat Movement.

You have to forget USALS and stick solely to Diseqc 1.2 and the Vbox. Which image,I don't know, as I've only messed about with a TM9100 once.

to drive your motor dish through the dreambox you need to connect up the vbox to your receiver and select disqec 1.2 and then move the dish tiny bits to find and store the satellites on the receiver

Hey guys,
Thanks once again for getting back to me, firstly, i am a right idiot, i had for some reason believed that the diseqc coax went into the sat out not the sat in, hahahah you wouldn't think i could install Sat TV/Internet/Freeview by myself would you LOL! Anyways, i now have a motor which moves the dish from the commands of my DM7020. Regarding Usuls, they do tell the Motor to move the dish, and the dish does move, and i read that usuls are better in situations in which wind may move the motor, but in my experience of this Jaeger motor, the only thing that changes is the inclination of the dish on the brackets as its such a strong beast, is that partly why you recommonded having a fixed system? Now for my next question, can i have more than one box controling the VBOX2's commands to the motor? If so, how? Regards & Thanks Footylad |

No you cant, you can only have one receiver connected to the vbox.
The 1224 does not use usals. If you had a 7025 twin sat tuner, then you could run two motorised dishes independently of one another.
