Yea just flash it the same way if it channel scans then you need to flash a bootloader on it using softjag.

Just been trying this way for the first time...trouble is I can not open softjtag it keeps saying encountered a problem and needs to close.

I have reinstaled it and used it straight from the cd any ideas.

Bricked two 255s they had no p option so as I was writing the 2.1.6d bootloader with softjtag an error popped up. Tried the contine any way button but it would not write.

If softjag Erorrs Just click continue on the Error then click Disconnect

Next run ..Amchobit 0.973 beta then click "flash Bootloader" on this program after you have set up the program..

Dont take the power from the modem or it will be bricked..

just restart comp and try again soon it will flash dont worry about the errors as long as you keep the power to the modem all will be fine
