Hi guys
just bought a Ambit 256 thats been flashed with hexor i cant get on the net .i`ve looked at some post and change my nic
ip to 192.168.100.10
subnet 255.255.255.0
default 192.168.100.1
i get the virgin media config page not the hexor page from reading on the post i`ve read. The modem needs to have a mac address and sync to the network.I`ve down loaded dhcp sniffer and i have quite a few mac address`s .Could any one tell me how to put the mac address in and sync the modem?
thanks for help you guys can give me

when you go to 192.168.100.1 in your web browser and you get virgin media config page that means you dont have haxorware on it.

If I buy the haxorware chip for a 256 from Ebay and solder that into the modem this means I don't need to bother with the reprogrammer and SOIC clip? I can change mac's etc through my internet browser and I'm away?

Thanks for any help/flaming that I may get.

You are correct. The pads can be fragile though. Good luck!

ps...I`d still buy the programmer, as it also does the Ambit 300 (is the Ambit 300 coming? or is it here already?)

As daft as it sounds, are you sure Putty is the active window? To make sure, click anywhere in the putty box before you connect modem.

For example, if something else (like internet explorer) is open and that is the active screen, it wont work because all your keystrokes are heading towards that...

Im prob wrong, but many times I`ve started typing away without looking at the screen and the text has gone somewhere completely different...Worth a mention if nothing else!
