Default Is it worth buying a mobile on ebay from Hong Kong?

I have seen an add on ebay as I like flip phones but all the one's over here seem to be pants and saw this ad on there.

*NEW* KOREA EZIO T-7 5.2MP TV 2-SIM PDA PHONE, MP4+MP3 on eBay, also, Mobile Phones, Mobile Home Phones (end time 17-Apr-09 02:45:31 BST)

I was wondering if anyone know's if this is a good offer or bad experiance from buying in kong kong etc.

Cheers

Personally i wouldnt bother as its abit risky. I've heard the software on them are pants and they are made really cheap but dont hold me on it only from what ive heard before but it might be different now.

Buying from Asia in full is dodgy.

As Smurf says, the software on them are pants, plus cheaply made. Not to mention the problems with getting them working in the first place.

Ensuring the phone works on GSM 900/1800 bands, plus with the rollout of 3G still happening you've got to consider if the phone will handle UMTS.

Then it goes onto, who supports you when the phone goes belly up?
No Network will recognise the phone, which means they can't support you, and they won't be able to send out simple things like: MMS and WAP config settings.

Think about this before buying cheap from Asia.
