Angry Ready Light flashing

Hi I have a problem with my ready & ethernet light flashing rapidly & cannot get online. I really do not have clue but am willing to have a go . the modem is a 250 and is not chipped i just plugged it in & it worked fine until now .I am a complete novice & dont understand any of the jargon on the forums ,could you help me at all please i would be very gratefull . The MAC that the modem was using has probably been banned. You will need to mod the modem with hacked firmware and find some valid MACs to use. You will also need a config file to determine what speed you will get.

sounds like a million other people with hacked modems. think ready light means upstream ranging. open hyperterm and see what its doing. you could also paste the logs from your modem but make sure there is no info in it such as mac addreses or ip's

Try spoofing the mac sounds like they may have blacklisted your mac. If its a subbed modem from virmin call them and they will sort it out for u if not send u a replacement modem.

start> run > hypertrm.exe. Don't think vista has it in which case you need to google 'putty', download and install it.
