Is it possible to combine the signals from 2 dishes to give a slightly stronger signal (the way they do with radio telescope arays) ?
What I'm thinking is that on some satellites eg 1W and 26E I get a marginal signal on some transponders, sometimes the picture is watchable sometimes not (weather and time of day dependant). Could I use a second dish to boost the signal? Would this in effect give me a 'better' signal or just the same weak signal X 2? Doh! Just found someone has asked same question here: Linking Dishes Last edited by neilmca; 15-04-09 at 12:12 PM. Reason: Cos I'm thick! |
