Hi,
I have recently bought a humax foxsat hdr and you can add music to the device. I plugged my external hard drive in and the only supported formats are fat 16/32 and ext 2/3. What are they as on Windows Vista the format options are NTFS and exSAT. Thanks, Felix. |

ext 2/3 are linux formats, fat16 is a dos format, and fat32 was added with windoze 95.Surely Vista (spit) has the ability to format Fat32?. If not, you can get a utility to enable you to format a usb drive in fat 32. |

According to Msoft that exFAT is an extended FAT, removing the 4G file size limit, and is especially useful for 'mobile devices'.
If you don't normally run linux, then you can do all the partition creation and formatting with gparted on a liveCD, which will cope with the ext2/ext3 requirement.
