broken sb5101e :(

Hi can anyone help im not sure what i did to it last but my sb5101e wont respond all that happens is the online light flashs rapidly constantly thats it. Ive tried writing full 2mb haxoware dumps to it via jtag as thats all ive got to use on it can anyone help thanx.

Hi m8,
are you clicking "write all" tab when your flashing the 2mb file to the moto.

Hi toolzkit thanx for the quick reply yeh im clicking the write all and undchecking the verify data option as well i dont understand this should be working......but ive notcied wierd things happening to the modem before hand like ill get online on one of then national tftip's with a 20mb mac forcing the cmbus-pkg3-nat-any.cm with bypass bpi inabled ect but the modem would work for say an hour then fail to work online (probably because i had the modem stealthing as a moto instead of a ambit250) the mac came from one of them!

After i un-plug the modem and restart it i can no longer get to the haxo screen i get limited or no activity???

is the flash a backup flash of your own, or a flash you have downloaded?

ive got both a flash made before i used the downloaded one but the one im trying to write now is the haxoware one from there website its not the latest version but the one prior to that thats all they have in 2mb dumps on there site unfortunately. maybe its just te jtag being weird either way im gonna try writing there image again to it before i have to go to work.

Try using JtagUtility.

I've had that before where SchwarzeKatz has failed, but JtagUtility has worked flawlessly.

Also I have noticed, when you Black Cat a Webby 2100 the lights all go crazy on the front, but they do not with JtagUtility, so there must be something different going on.

Hi everyone just an update ive flashed using jtag utility and its done something but not fixed the problem now instead of having the online light constantly flashing all that happens is when i plug in the power all lights blink once or twice really fast then the pc activity light comes on due to the network cable being in but ive got limited or no connectivity in windows??? does anyone know whats going on as ive been successfully flashing it to the best of my knowledge with both SchwarzeKatzand jtag utility flash chip is detected in both?


The only other thing i think that i did wrong prior to these problems is in SchwarzeKatzi went to the 5100 tab and dumped the firmware then wrote an incorrect image back to the chip but after realising my mistake i wrote the dump i made in that tab back also? Thanx for the continues support its appreciated excspecially as everyone's attention is directed to just getting back on right now.

ive got a bunch of ambit 256's(useless)/255's and 250's lying about i never messed with them due to the SB in my opinion being easier and better i might have to hack one of them god knows if they even have the p function, probably not just want my SB back.

Try going to control panel, Network connections, right click on your connection and click repair.
