i open the cas studio then when i insert the usb cable, it says connected at the bottom in green as usual, but then when i try to format it it says USB read commnication problem. or when i to connect to it it says 'no response from cam'

i havent updated it for 2 weeks but before then it was working fine. i have tried other usb slots but nothing.

Which version of the Cas programmer are you using?
Can you do anything else, like use the Common Interface Host option in the Utilities section, or Connect to the Cam using the Cam File System option? Also check if you can use the Backup option under Cam Disk Functions.
Check for any slightly bent pins, in the Cas programmer, and check if your Cam is still recognised in your receiver.

i changed the usb cable and it worked so maybe the problem was there
