Modem Fix help required for novices

Hi All,

I have been trying to find a fix on some of the threads and read that there is a fix available which need to be flashed using a MAX cable (something I, and I am sure many others, do not have), then I read that this can be done using Telnet commands.

Please can the forum moderators create a new thread with some guidance for us novices and lock it so that others do not fill it with other conversations.

I have an Ambit 255 modem which used to be on Infinite, updated to latests Haxorware (without security) using Telnet and ethernet (with a lot of help )

You can upgrade to Haxorware via ethernet cable. but cannot try the new fixes fitz has made as these are 2mb dumps and require a rs232 cable. id advise upgrading to haxorware11rev31 and trying that. try unforced to begin with.

Thanks, I have upgraded to the Rev31 but every MAC I try does not stay online for long
