Sky Deal

theres a deal out now,,,
a sky box with 40 gig hard drive £49
a sky box with 80 gig hard drive and High Def also 49 squid

the basic TV package is 16.50

but to get the High Def box you have to also get the Hi Def TV channel package as well as the sky TV package.... it is 9.75

the girl worked out a deal for me

TV package 16.50
8 meg broad band internet 10.oo
Hi Def TV Package 9.75

Total per mnth £36. 25

does that sound reasonable ?
Can anyone comment on the quality of sky broad band ?
( Im currently on AOL )
also is there any other hi def out there ( on BBC ITV Grman etc )

Im thinking though, after a year, if I decide to pack up the sky
channels.... wot happens to my internet connection ?

Sky BB is the dogs dangly bits. I am on 16mb for £10 per month

we have sky BB too 10mbit 768k upload and NO caps or restrictions dont use it much but came free with skytalk and HD service had it a fair while

Does Sky BB come via Satellite or telephone wire?

only one prob...
to really go for it and get the HI DEF PACKAGE...
TV IS SUPPOSED to be 4 times sharper etc
and then the 8 meg broad band

I would have to pack up AOL
but about a year ago I got a new comp
the modem did nt work so I had to phone up AOL

they said we ll send you a new one free but you have to agree to
stay with AOL for 18 months !

I signed nothing at the time, so what do you think ?
would AOL create a problem if I phoned up to terminate my broad band ?
