these where posted else where by a generous user

Settings-

General:

Factory Mode - Unticked
Disable Firmware Upgrades - Ticked
Force Network Access - Ticked
Tftp Enforce Bypass - Ticked
Disable IP Filters on Startup - Unticked
Current IP Filters Status - Optimized

Administration:

Control Panel IP Address - 192.168.100.1
DHCP Server - Ticked
Telnet Server - Unticked
Username - Root
Password - Admin

Press Save

Frequency Settings:

Annex - Both
Plan - European
Preferred DS Freq 1 - 402750000 (this is for NTL, TW and others are different)
2 and 3 - 0
Upstream channel - dont change (will change on its own)

Press Save

Addresses:

HFC MAC - Your Mac Address
Ethernet Mac - your mac address change last digi up one
USB MAC - your mac address change last digi up two
Serial Number - your mac without the : : :

Press Save

Config File: cmreg-ntlhm250-rts22.cm ( or which ever you choose)

Server IP: Put whatever your server IP address you are using here, you can get it from DHCPforce.
Filename: Whastever you wish for your filename to use, if you want to force the 20mb option, then use - cmreg-ntlhm256-rts22.cm for NTL area, once again TW etc will be different.

Autoserve Enabled - Unticked
Stored cfg/store new config - no need to do anything here.

Press Save

Baseline Privacy:

BPI - Disabled
Certificate - BPI Public Key

morrisoft says we should have Baseline Privacy on BPI+ (docsis 1.1) yet you are having yours on Disabled !!

Are you online with no problems ?

AFAIK Ethernet MAC should be +6 of HFC MAC and USB MAC -1 OF HFC MAC.

I don't state its a must, as others have mentioned, all BPI modes seem to work for other people in some areas and some modes wont work in others.

All seems rather random to me.

Ohh OK, sorry about that.

By the way the Rev27 does not work !

I have followed all instructions ..etc but nope ! doesn't even connect for a second !! It gets stuck on Ranging !!

Am I doing something wrong ??

hi everyonme just thought id post this comment last few weeks been a mess like rest of you got one 250 on haxoware latest one and one on fitz fix since friday tried to get a mac for one regular stuff thrown off few minutes fount good mac put it on perfect stable as anything searched using sniffer fount the 4 macs i fount one went onto box with fitz fix again stable as anything so i messed about with the ethernet settings changed the configs onto each other both stable i left the haxoware mac with the dead in middle hasent made one bit of difference basically i think they have been updating all the 250 255 and now there getting stable just a bit of info im in notts pure ive left bpi+bypass used different configs both forcing 20m including 120rts 22
and mota4100-rts22 swapping them from one modem to the other to see if any fail been running both since friday i hope this is start of the end of this messing any questions ill be up for another 20 mins lol and thankyou to all the people who has been a massive help

Seems it doesnt work for you, its not uncommon, lots have tried and its not worked.

You should try 31, its working for me, if you have tried and failed that, try 30.
