connecting modem wire to starview box? help!

i am renting a room which has virgin broadband, but the connection i hav is just via a ethernet wire frm a wall socket which the coaxial cable runs into, is there any way to hook this up to my starview box? any ethernet wire to coaxial cable connecters or anything like that.... i'm not very optimistic thta it can be done

Probably not possible.

Sounds like the place pays for VM broadband, and sends it to the rooms using a router and some ethernet cabling, cat5e i would presume.

No way it'll ever work that way.

If you can get yourself onto the coaxial feed tho, no worries with that
