Default Need a little help please.

Hi, first of i aint a total noob evan tho its my first post
i have registered on here already but cant get back into it.
Anyway, i know how to flash modems, i flashed mine with haxor and set it up thanks to this forum . but my friends has gone down, he's on infinite and it keeps dying quick so wanna upgrade it to haxorware. i have read the guides but none really kinda give me the answer i'm looking for. the modem has a password on it which none of us know so basically just want some advice on which programs i should use and how i should go about doing it or evan just a push in the right direction on how to get around this.
I have a max232 and pretty sure i have all required programs. just not sure which to use lol
Thanks lads n gals, all help is appreciated

Follow any guide which tells you how to upgrade using a max232 and the 'p' option....this method gets around the whole problem of passwords with the interface it uses...where you read '232', read 'no passwords'

There are several guides for you in the downloads section

edit: wtf is up with the username?

cheers, fitz

lol sorry its the only username i could think of. i read this guide as its exactly what i'm trying to do.

Upgrading from previous shelled firmware (infinite) or Haxorware 1.0
Set your computers ip to 192.168.100.10
Set up a TFTP server with haxorware11rev31.bin in its root
Make sure the haxorware webgui isn't currently open
Connect to modem with hyperterminal or telnet to the IP 192.168.100.1
Enter your username and password
cd /ip
ipconfig 1 release
y
dload -i 1 -l -f 192.168.100.10 haxorware11rev31.bin
y
cd /
reset
Haxorware 1.1 should now boot

If you have a username and password already specified....but not known, sorry no. You need a guide for the max232 + p method

cheers, fitz
