Hi,

Does anyone have a MAX232 near the coventry area that I could either borrow or they could update my modem for me?

I want to use it flash my ambit modem to the Test fix v0.2 2mb for VM Haxorware 1.1r31. Do you know how to do this. Where abouts are you located?

Im in nuneaton mate and leeds is right u prob will need one sometime in the future. I got mine from TMC. Very good service. If u want it i can prob come down i havent flashed a modem myself sorta have an idea how u do it but im stuck with one at the moment with alex firmware on it and it wont softjtag as its crashing after establishing the connection. Leeds did u manage to softjag urs from last time from the bricking a 250 thread? Thats a very interesting read. Lol.

Try all the different SoftJTAG versions. Some of them get different results with different peoples systems.

Also make sure that you have downloaded the J# Runtime.

Yeh mate i have that installed aswell still the same. Lol i will try version 3.01 and see how i get on. I tried installing 2.0 net framework aswell but it wont let me install it says i already have it but not sure if its the right one. Its my first attempt at flashing wee hee think i might have a brick soon but since i only payed £1 for the modem with the power brick im not too bothered all part of the learning process i guess.

You can't mess it up if you follow the instructions.

It's pretty fool proof as long as you take your time.
