Hi I'm a newbie here and to be perfectly honest I havent a clue about boxes, computers etc
I bought the box followed the instructions done the power scan and assumed it would just find the channels but apart from freeview channels all the others are showing a scrambled message. I'm with VM. I see stuff on here about flashing boxes with 'firmware' whatever that is. Do I need to do this? Or am I doing something else wrong? Any help greatly appreciated cos I'm at my wits end |

Yes you will need to flash the box as it will only come with fta firmware (free to air)
Theres a guide here Ronsters Guide To Flashing Box For Newbies its the same procedure for the 5100. The firmware is available in the download section and the TCB toolbarr, the 16/01/09 is the latet for your box..i think |
