hi peeps upgraded to vm 10 meg, which im downloading at 8 meg, anyways i downloaded a couple of movie files from internet, and virgin media capped my downloads to 2 meg, when i phoned them i was told tht because i had exceded my band width they put it down to 2 meg for 5 hours, they also said it would be bk to normal today, i never got this sh___ wen i was on 2 meg package

welcome to the world of STM. Your best bet for big d/ls is to wait till 9pm to start them, so you wont be "punished" straight after. Broadband FAQ for Virgin Media users

You're downloading @ 2mbps?
. When I had my 20Mb connection I downloaded at around 2.6Mbps which is right in data byte terms. But the connection is rubbish, 20Mb should be 20Mb.
