Hi all,

I'm happy to report that just ten minutes ago I successfully flashed my Kryptview A750 box! The box flashed first attempt, piece-o-****

As you all know I kept on getting the "downloading is not requested" error, which was driving me insane. This error was 100% due to a faulty usb-serial adaptor purchased from Ebay. For the others on the forum hitting this brick wall I'd like to point you in the direction of the hardware I used successfully and purchased for under £15.

You will need:

1) the Sweex 2 Port Serial PCI Card, retail £13.58 @ Amazon
2) the DB9F 9 Pin RS232 Serial Null Modem, retail £1.19 @ Amazon

I realise there are cheaper cards and cables on the market so feel free to shop around but I would advise on staying clear of USB adaptors, they appear to be very hit and miss.

I'm running Windows XP SP3 but the PCI card has 2000 and Vista support, too, so most people should be good to go. The drivers are on a CD included in the box.

I'd like to thank everyone for their help on this issue, you've been wonderful. Happy flashing!

Joe

For the record: I am not blaming the box, the box is probably fine. When I have exhausted all possible fixes I may then blame the box, and possibly Jambutty.

Where's me appologie and I want 20 thanks for my brilliant help, If yer don't send me 20 thanks I'm gonna tell uncle Richard about you!
