Hi chaps!
Just bought myself the new Kryptview A750. I'm having real trouble downloading the newest firmware via null modem. Every time I try to send data I receive an error, "The downloading is not requested". I'm terribly puzzled, can any body help? I've taken a look around and found a few variations on the process ie. pressing buttons on the remote, having the box switched off, having it switched on, looking for four 0000 on the display. I could use the definitive, most up-to-date method. I am using a usb-to-serial adaptor and believe I am using Com3 (that's what device manager seems to be saying). Joe

I have the newer box which has a power button on the back. I press start and then immediately switch on the power, that's when I receive my error message. I have tried variations in the delay before power on but always the same frustrating result. Could there be a problem with the box reading the newest firmware straight from the shop (I have 19/03/09) i.e. should I try an earlier firmware and then move to the newest?

I fear that 'red red standby' may be outdated advice, Bobby. The latest guide I have to hand says not to do that as it will only confuse the receiver.

Okay, Bobby, I'm not getting any further with this. Could you possibly point me in the direction of the recommended, most up-to-date instructions and firmware for the Kryptview A750?

Pretty sure the latest is Kryptview_19032009.bin. Same firmware works on old & new boxes. USB to serial adapters are notoriously (IMHO) bad for causing problems.
