Hi,
Well, i ended up going down the FireDTV route with Icecrypt Cam, Funcard4 etc... The only problem i'm encountering is that MCE is picking up no channels.. I'm assuming that it's to do with Transponder Freq.?? which i though i had.. The FireDTV Support tool is showing 100% Signal Strength so i should be picking something up, right.? Anyway, I'm in TW Croydon and was wondering if anyone knew where i could get hold of the Transponder list.? Thanks in advance. Mort.. |

Just in case anyone has the same problem as me, thought i'd post my findings...
I installed my FloppyDTV on Windows 7 x64 and used the Windows 7 drivers from the Digital anywhere site... Didn't work, found NO CHANNELS.... Installed the Vista TV Pack 2008 drivers and everything tunes in fine.. Seams like the 7MC drivers are not working at the moment. |

Glad you said that....... I'd been trying to get my floppydtv to find channels in mediaportal with win7 x64 rc1 for about a week with almost no success, I was beginning to think it was a dead card.... even tried with the legacy 1394 firewire driver and still nothing, although it had 100% signal strength and level.
"nothing found" .......mediaportal can be very unhelpful sometimes Using bda drivers.... I've read on the digital everywhere forum that someone's got it working....... wish they'd spill the beans and tell how.... I haven't got a vista licence, so was trying to get it set up for win7 as it's far better in every other aspect and I will buy it when it comes out, just don't want to buy vista now and then have to upgrade in 6 months.

Just out of curiosity are you receiving any of the Setanta Channels at all? After scanning for channels, FireDTV can never find any of the Setanta Channels or Sky 1 and possibly a few more for me.

I get Sky 1, Setanta 1&2 Setanta News etc.... Although I don't get the Discovery channels.. I'm assuming the transponders for discovery aren't on the list for my area.. |
