Default J-Tag and PMCIA Card?

Morning All,

Just a quick question. I bought a J-Tag kit from fletcomputersystems but never got it to work on my pc (Target comunication error). A friend recomended last night a PCMIA card. I had a look on e-bay and found this one:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PCMCIA-1-Parallel-Port-CardBus-IEEE-1284-ECP-EPP-SPP_W0QQitemZ320352276635QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Com puting_LaptopAccessories_PCMCIACards?hash=item3203 52276635&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1683%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C 240%3A1318

What are peoples opinions? Do you think it will allow me to use my laptop for this J-Tag?

Thanks for any help

it certainly looks like it should as it supports every parallel port mode, you might need to try the different modes to see which one works, if i remember correctly it's ECP, but it hink i also had EPP working.

Right....a quick update for anyone who can help with the next phase. I bought the card in question but it doesn't want to work. I've narrowed it down to the device resources being wrong.

When i go into the card via device manager the resources are not the 378H needed to use the J-Tag. However all the options needed to change this are greyed out and i can't do anything with them.

I've tried going into the Bios but the Acer bios has no options for the pcmcia card slot. I've also tried to go into the laptop via safe mode but this wouldn't allow me to edit the properties of the card becuase it wasn't running.

Can anyone help? I'm rapidly loosing patience trying to sort this . Thanks for any help
