Default Help with a 256

hi guys maybe someone can help me with this issue before i desolder a chip.

I bought a spansion chip last week with haxo on it so i soldered it in and bingo works first time so i bought another standard modem and 4 more chips from the same supplier all pre programmed with haxo i soldered in the chip, and all i get is an exclamation mark on connectlivity so i tried reboot modem and windows still excalmation mark.

By the way the modem went to default config page with its standard chip in so it works ok anyway back to where im up too, i unsoldered the haxo chip and replaced it for another one still no joy all i get on power up is all lights flash then the power light stays on and the <...> light lights for 10 secs then goes out which i presume is the ethernet light.

Am i missing something as the first modem i ever tried worked flawlessy
