I dont know what you mean by scarting to your PC ? the only connection you need id the null modem from your computer to the box,are you sure its a proper connection on your computer ? not all of them have the necessary port ...the connection on the computer should be male, because the modem lead is female at both ends .....

I have seen various different ways that people have done this, but if it were me I would have done a deep scan, this would have cleared the box of all data and then started from scratch and scanned for all channels...

I dont mind answering you,if you want to know more please post back

Hi telecom69,

i was told to get a usb rs232 cable. this has a male end. i then connected up the female both ends null modem cable to box and computer. using the dnupman programme it recognised my eurovox and downloaded onto it as it said in the sticky thread on eurovox. however it just says "please wait code being updated" now. kinda stuck with it. tried deletind and going back to factory settings but still the same message.

I read on other threads about connecting the scart to the pc. i havent done it was just getting a bit confused with different opinions.

cheers telecom

Are you leaving it long enough whilst getting "Please Wait Code being updated" .. The first time it could take several minutes ...

I maybe didn't first up. i have had it on now about 5 mins. Does it matter that i have turned the box off without maybe giving it enough time? basically do i need to do it all again.

i'll give it another 10 mins. c if it comes on.

cheers nibblitz

Thats the sort of thing you need whether it will fix your 8% is another question, its worth a try, you might need to install the 8% fix that is around somewhere... A variable attenuator is always a worthwhile buy in my opinion, sometimes you might be getting too strong a signal and you can use this then, like a fine tuner if you like....
