Hi, just got to do a 2100c box from coventry, its got a mosc card that has gone off. The ird and box key were already written on the box. (im from leicester)So i just changed my ext eeprom and made a new funcard using the pure n** flash file. But it hasnt worked, tried it in coventry and the box just says its the wrong card. Do i need to set a net id or somthing on the actual card?
Thanks |

You changed your external eeprom? Why? This contains your BK and IRD, you need this so that the box can "pair" the card and show the channels. You are getting a wrong card error becuase you changed the exteep and most likely entered the wrong BK and/or IRD.

Thanks for the info guys. sorry blakey 8, i meant that i just programmed a new funcard (i dont know how to do the mosc) using the pure flash and my personal ext file with the ird and box changed key for the coventry box. When i try the box here in leicester it just doesnt load up, (shows ld30 or ld40 and hangs). The box shows all freeview channels in coventry with the mosc card. So is the problem just the area im doing on the funcard, if so is there any way of knowing the right area?
Thanks a lot |

I still havent managed to do this box. Its a samsung 2100c, so ive shorted the battery and went into the engineer menu, the net id has set its self to 09999, but its not updating, when i turn on the box it just says ld20.

I reset my 2100c in leic by shorting the battery. Then went to engineer menu changed the freq and the box restarted. The net id then auto set its self, then i changed the symbol rate and pin and put the smart card in. Then when i restarted it flashed ld20,30 for a few min, then updated and everything worked. But for some reason when this same process is done in coventry using a different 2100c box the net id just doesnt seem to autoset its self even though its a pure area its just stuck on ld20, when i try set the net id with a funcard it just changed it to 04982.

Sounds to me like a bad battery to me, its probably reverting back to the old settings wen you set the new Net ID. I had a box with the same issue and replacing the battery fixed it.
