Default Epg

Hi Guys,

Was just wondering what methods are popular for getting epg populated in Vista MC + TV Pack 2008. I was looking at Bladerunner Pro, but from what I gather that isn't compatible, in fact one site (tvxb.com) even suggested that there weren't any epg updaters that worked with Tv Pack which I find hard to believe...
I've got some channels mapped to the guide from my dvb-s card, but that seems a little hit and miss for some encrypted channels.

Any recommendations, gratefully received.

There is an excellent guide by Cafe.Rcaer here:

Guide to VMC+TV Pack Setup 2xDVB-C

You'll need a spare analogue card to do it...

Are you using european satellites rather than Sky?

I know you shouldn't have to do anything with the TV Pack for DVB-S channels, DVB-S is natively support and so is the Guide, however you'll just get the instream guide rather than downloaded one. If you follow a similar setup to the one mentioned above, that will allow you to download a guide, but whether it will include more channels I don't know (this is the Cable on PC forum, after all).

I know there's a good few DVB-S TV Pack people on avforums.com, they might be able to help.

Also, try the Australian Mediacenter forums, they usually sort it out first as they have no native guide support at all. I see to remember that they are working on something for loading guide data in TV Pack, but where you might get the data from, I don't know.
