Hi guys.

I have recently returned back to the UK from holiday in Spain and while I was out there I happened to be watching some channels in a bar that were being broadcast from Dubai called 'Show Sports' which are pretty damn good for football amongst other sports.

What I wondering is whether anybody here knows how I may be able to pick up these channels back here in Britian and what equipment I would need to get hold of in order to recieve the channels at a minimum of expense? I do have a satalite dish already from when I used to have 'Sky' TV so is that a decent enought start?

Any help with this would be fantastic.

Probably Showtime Sport on 7W.

A very poor signal in the UK, but if you tell us your approximate location I'll give you an idea of the dish size you are likely to need

Thanks for the rapid reply Analoguesat. Much appreciated indeed. However, the site logged me off and wouldnt let me back on so I've had to re-register. That was a truthfully annoying half hr. I'd have replied earlier otherwise so i apologise for that.

Moving on though (

) Yea I think it was the Showtime Sports channel I was watching, or one of them. It'd be superb if I can pick them up here.

As for where I live, I'm in Cheshire mate.

Ugg thats a long way north for 7W - you are looking at something around a 2.4m dish (8 feet diameter!)

Blimey! I think that has just crushed the dream for me! There's no way I can have a dish that big on my house. I only live in a 3-bed semi n it'd probably stop the sun from shining down on us. Oh well, I'm a bit gutted really. But if it's not to be it's not to be.

By any chance Do you know of any other sport channels i could pick up over here that show a bit more football than we get currently on Sky via a freesat box or something??

It depends how much I can receive n what the costs are really. At the moment there arent any limits but I dont want to spend a fortune
