Default Is i possible to get a 4100 and a 4200 working again?

Hi everyone,
I have a moto sb4100 and a 4200 both with hackware on them, I have tried several times to get a config loaded on them both for about 2 months or so. I know how to use hackware, netboot for changing the firmware, etc, but nothing else that I've tried has work (several dif macs, forced and unforced). Is it possible to get these two modems back online? I've used the search on the forums, but haven't found a definitive answer, so all help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I'd recommend a new modem...

Cheers for the help sean, I was wondering, which modem would you recommend? I have a choice of the 5100, and the 5101 (I think it's a 5101), I can get my hands on an ambit 250, but I would pay for the modem which is easiest to work with and has best functionality.

thanks again.

For the best flashing experience I would personally choose the 5101 (5100 doesn't run Haxorware) or the Webstar 2100. I've mentioned before that they have both a 232 (serial) port and a JTAG port. So no matter what you do wrong when flashing, you can always revive them very easily.

Whereas the trusty ambit's need the much dreaded TSOP lift.

Hope that helps.

sb5101 or sb5100 either should be good as if you brick them you can jag em back to life.

sb5101 you would use haxorware fw
sb5100 you would use sb5100mod fw

I have both, but I use the sb5100 which I have had no problems with so far touch wood :P

Yeh sorry for not mentioning the 5100 in a better light.

I'm die-hard Haxorware.
