im new to all this can anyone pint me in the right direction like what program to burn with and at what speed sorry if i sound stupid but its the first time ive done this sort of stuff

Use img burn and the slower you burn the better but i would not burn faster than x8

dont think it would knacker the lense, its just -s are more reliable, but I have used both (sonys) and all ok, just burn at a reasonable speed and use brand names

Hi Guys! fantastic work, i have managed to softmod my wii. but have a question and woundering if anyone can help..

i have loads of roms that i bought for my PC, which i can play via my PC. can i add this to my Wii SD card and play on the Wii. if yes can someone advise me on how to do this? and if no then can someone advise me of a site that i can download SNES roms from?

i have looked through the forum with out much luck, any help or advice is greatly appreciated. many thanks

I have exactly the same problem and would really appreciate a good site to dl from (I can't get my head round usenext etc etc).

Try ntorrents . net (down at the moment due to a server move), wiiiso . com is also a good one. For my Wii games, I usually use torrents or newsgroups because they are generally quicker.
