Information required on Satellite Receiver @SAT CX-6910

Gentlemen,
I would be most grateful for technical advice concerning the above Satellite Receiver posed in the questions below.

My location is in Greece, I am using a 1.5 Metre Dish with 2 Universal LNB's and 1 DISEqC Switch providing Inputs from 2 LNBs with a single feed to the Satellite Receiver.

The Satellite Receiver is an @SAT CX-6910 in a silver casing. It is running Dreamsoft 1.4.3.4 May 01 2005 H/W is @SAT CX-6910. I believe the Receiver was manufactured in China but am not 100% sure. There are no contact details at all re the manufacturer in the User Manual.

There is a CAM Slot on the front of the Receiver, Is there a plug in adapter available which would convert the CAM Slot to be able to take say a SKY Freeview Card so that I could receive all the Free Sky Channels?

Currently I am receiving a fair amount of FTA Channels however there are many channels which come up with a message Scrambled or No Signal.

I understand that there is a possibility of downloading to ones PC updated Channel Lists together with their updated Key Codes? and subsequently transferring these to the Satellite Receiver via an RS232 port and a serial cable?

Are these uploads matched to Individual Receiver Types or are they common to all satellite receivers.

Where would one find this information for my type of Satellite Receiver

Is it an easy task for a Newbie to carry out?

Is there anywhere on the web a Primer is available covering this task?
