Default Modems in South Wales

Has anyone from South Wales managed to get online?

From my experience,

1. Most modems went down
2. Some modems went down and came back on
3. Some modems never went down at all
4. Some modems came back on after changing NIC/HFC

I have one SB5100 that I have managed to get back online and I will gladly share my settings with anyone who wants them. However, I have another SB5100 that I can not get online at all - even with the same settings and mac as the working modem. I also have a SB5101E that I can not get working at all.

At the moment, the Sticky "Any Modems Down Post Here" is mostly bloated with unhelpful comments, however I have noticed that people in the same areas are occasionally managing to get online. In light of this, is it worth creating stickys for each geographical region to enable forum members to quickly share experiences and provide assistance where it can be provided?

Over 9 stickys mate is a bit much for that one topic and would be very messy and like you said you have two SB5100 one works and one doesnt so i dont think it would be much good. Like everyone is saying make sure you have good macs, so its a bit hit and miss really..

Point taken but is it any more messy than having 50+ pages of posts to trawl through? At least users will be able to go straight to the sticky that applies to them.
