Hi Guys,

Sorry for being such a noob but I recently acquired a EuroVox EX51000 and I have NO idea how I can get all the channels.

I so sorry if it is explained somewhere but I have been looking for days with no luck!

Another problem I have is I have no internet at home (thanks v!gin) so have the box with at work and my laptop - is there a way I can save the software on my laptop and 'scan' or something when I get access to the cable feed.

You help in explaining where I get:-

1) Latest Firmware
2) How I download firmware to 5100
3) Anything else?

You help would be greatly appreciated as I am stuck in a rut!

i think you can download the firmware at yer work then take the laptop home and flash yer box

thanks for the reply - problem is I have no idea where to get the latest firmware and also how to flash my box...

and you could download yer channel list{cdf} file in the sticky section

you will have to download thechatterbox.cc toolbar all files and fixes are on that

you will need a null modem cable , and the latest firmware , settings for your area ie. baud etc theres only a choice of 2 and should be preset on the box so if your not sure just try both 1 will work. if you cannot find the file you need pm me your email addy and ill send it to you so its ready for when you get home

I live in Hemel Hempstead - I've looked at CDF and can't see mine...

Grr - I hate being a noob!!

if your just wanting to set up and watch i wouldnt worry about cdf files at this stage just flash the firmware for now

did yer box come with a null modem cable its grey with nine holes on each end

No, but it came with a rs-232 to rs-232 lead. I also have just bought a RS-232 to USB cable as my laptop has no RS-232 interface.
