Hi folks, does anyone know which chip is the NVRAM chip on a Pace 2000?

Can I just swap it for another from a spare box/otherwise faulty box?

U5602 U5603 i think mate, have a look at the VM2000 tut in downloads, it may help.

Sorry thats the atmels , not sure about nvram, dont have 2000 in my area.

Is it the NVRAM that gives the 88:88 error or is it the Atmels that cause this?

thats the atmels. nvram gives err3. i think i know which one it is. its the one at the back of the battery, looks quite chunky

its got CY62128 on it

going to try a reflow first, and the attys to be sure and then a swap of the nvram if no joy.

will let you all know how it goes.

swapped the nvram chip and got same error, err3

so, took the attys out, (because i knew the bk) and transplanted them in another working box (minus atmels) and the error came on the new box, lol

so, err3 looks like it is something to do with the attys too
