Default V+ box VERY SLOW?

Hi

I have a chipped V+ box, all the channels and everything work but the box is SO SLOW it sometimes takes 5mins to change the channel!

Is there anyway I can speed it up? Or is my box faulty?

Its not just the live tv light, its like.... ill be watching a channel, then when it comes to changing it - it becomes unresponsive or when I click on guide its frozen? btw its a modded box.

what are the frequency requirements for these boxes?

If you've removed the resistor to cut talk back apparently that can slow down or freeze the box. Its better to use a talk back filter. Is it a return path filter you have or is talk back cut inside? I would re-connect if it is and get a return path filter.

I cut talkback and I have similar issues, the box tends to reboot every few hours, it's not a major issue but it gets annoying when you are mid-way through a good film .
