All I can see is you are not getting an IP address the modem is rebooting.

What happened leading up to this? It may be a new MAC you need. Did the modem just stop working or is it a new set up?

Thanks fitz im using ur fix and so far fingers crossed in Pure area is working flawlessly for the last 2 days. I was forcing the nat config when i got that error but still forcing it using a 00:02 Mac. Before ur fix was getting booted off every 2 min or sometimes it would last 30min before i got booted off. Good Work Thanks alot for that fitz ur a genius.

Fitz, so they can tell if you are forcing even though you have TFTP enforce bypass enabled?

If so, then what is the point of the bypass? I thought the bypass basically made the cmts think that you had accepted the served config and all was legit?

From what I gather, config file names change (dynamic) (the contents of the file do not).

If you watch your telnet session output while you boot now, i think you'll see that bypass no longer works...it just times out

cheers, fitz

Dunno, my area's still static. If they've set it up properly, the config files will contain a 'shared secret' value, which is generated upon each tftp request.

In order to register, the CM must return the value of the secret to the CMTS during reg.

no match = no reg

cheers, fitz

Alot of my 00:02 macs dont work anymore just go straight to VM reg page which is weird never used to happen like that. Whats the reason for that i think its happening with most my macs and im running outta macs now and get hardly any macs with DHCP sniffer?
