I have changed the battery and it seem to be holding changes after reboot, where is the location of the TSOP and what would I use to read it??

They are the 2 atmel chips just behind the simm to front of box. You'll need a willem or any other programmer that has a 48pin adaptor. Not an easy yask by all means

Did you save the new settings by pressing the tv button before you went to the next page if you didn't it will not have saved your settings.if you did save the settings then its defo your battery farnels sell them abpit £4 ish
